- I have worked with Twitter, Facebook, Wiki spaces, YouTube, and many others web 2.0 online tools.
- I am an SEO Search Engine Optimization expert.
- User interface (UI) design, usability and accessibility engineering, WCAG / WAI guidelines and Section 508.
Web Tools (Software skills)
I hand code, but I use also tools like Dreamweaver, FrontPage, and many others.
I work with Photoshop, Fireworks, Flash and many other graphic designing tools. I have also worked with a many flash designing tools.
I have been using MS Office since 1996. Also worked with many other software, ftp programs, video editing, and conversion software, and many others.
Excellent knowledge of computer maintenance / configuration.
Job Experiences
I am working for RIM (BlackBerry) handcoding xhtml, CSS with Jquery, and Graphic Design. Worked at CBC as a Online Producer, and as a Web Developer, for Bank of Montreal and Government of Markham. Education
I have taken Web-building tutorials courses and training programs but mostly I am self taught. I got a position as Web design teacher for TriOS College in Scarborough, Canada. I taught students on how to use Photoshop, Fireworks, FrontPage, Dreamweaver, html, and CSS.
Working Languages
I have experienced working on the Internet with context in the following languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, Hungarian, Swahili, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Hebrew, Russian, Polish, and Dutch. Have also done translations from English to Spanish and vice versa.
Why are you a web developer?
The best thing about being a web developer / producer and graphic artist is being able to express my creativity. I love being able to come up with fun new ideas for web and graphic layouts. I also love getting positive feedback from the clients and giving them exactly what they want. I love creating web art, that is easily to navigate, pleasing to the eye, but most important, websites that are easily found by all major search engines.
Advocate for well-formed, Section 508 web accessible, valid source code as outlined by the W3C (World-Wide Web Consortium), and forward compliance standards such as XHTML, which reduce costs associated with doing business online, and maximize profit.
